RACNSW Celebrates 103 Years

Friday 10th November saw an evening of celebration and glamour as the Royal Aero Club of New South Wales marked 103 years!
Members and friends of the Royal Aero Club of New South Wales gathered together last week to celebrate our 103 birthday with a ‘Roaring 20s’ themed evening held at the Royal Automobile Club of Australia in Sydney’s CBD. The occasion also marked the official re-launch of the club unveiling our vision for the future as we come out of an extended hiatus!

Over the course of the night we heard from Life Members of the Royal Aero Club including Barry Sadler who provided some entertaining and lighthearted memories from days gone by. Additionally our Head of Training Operations (HOTO) Danial Martin and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Martin Sauer also both spoke about the calibre of the team and our enthusiasm for the future as the club receives a new lease on life.
The evening was a most wonderful occasion with the club receiving a video message from the Premier of New South Wales, the Hon. Chris Minns MP.
The highlight of the evening however was when Chairman and President Lachlan Hyde read correspondence from Kensington Palace with HRH the Prince of Wales sending a personal letter of congratulations for our 103rd Birthday.
Special thanks to Peter Overton from 9 News Sydney who was our Master of Ceremonies as well as the Royal Australian Air Force Jazz Band who provided the soundtrack for the night.
