The Private Pilot Licence takes your skills to the next level and allows you to fly anywhere in Australia, imagine hiring an aeroplane and taking your friends/family on your next holiday instead of driving. The PPL represents complete freedom to fly! For those wishing to continue training, the PPL is also a step towards your Commercial Pilot Licence.


Phase 1: First Solo Navigation Flight (Class G Airspace)

What you need to get an PPL?

The requirements for undertaking your Private Pilots Licence Flight Test include the following:

  • Be at least 17 years old
  • Hold a Class 1 or Class 2 medical certificate
  • Complete at least 40 hours of flight training
